La infecci\u00f3n por VHC se cura en m\u00e1s de un 99%, incluso en pacientes que ya hab\u00edan sido tratados anteriormente y no respondieron a los tratamientos que fueron sometidos .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Tratamiento<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Actualmente, en el pa\u00eds se cuenta con la combinaci\u00f3n de dos antivirales en una misma tableta (Sofosvubir + Velpatasvir), 1 tableta al d\u00eda, durante 12 semanas, sin efectos secundarios relevantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ese tratamiento se puede conseguir a trav\u00e9s del Programa de Alto Costo del Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica, previa evaluaci\u00f3n y autorizaci\u00f3n por el m\u00e9dico gastroenter\u00f3logo\/hepat\u00f3logo\/infect\u00f3logo\/m\u00e9dico internista.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El tratamiento consigue un beneficio individual sobre la propia enfermedad hep\u00e1tica, disminuye la mortalidad, mejora la calidad de vida y evita el desarrollo de manifestaciones extrahep\u00e1ticas 5; en los casos con fibrosis avanzada, previene las complicaciones de la cirrosis y en pacientes en espera de trasplante hep\u00e1tico, incluso, puede suponer evitar el procedimiento.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La infecci\u00f3n por VHC se cura en m\u00e1s de un 99%, incluso en pacientes que ya hab\u00edan sido tratados anteriormente y no respondieron a los tratamientos La infecci\u00f3n por el virus de la hepatitis C (VHC) es una de las principales causas de hepatopat\u00eda cr\u00f3nica en todo el mundo.
