UU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Antes de Rubio, Abinader ya se hab\u00eda reunido con importantes funcionarios estadounidenses. En agosto de 2020, el presidente dominicano recibi\u00f3 al exsecretario de Estado Mike Pompeo, y en septiembre de 2024, se reuni\u00f3 con Antony Blinken.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>EL TEMA CENTRAL: LA CRISIS HAITIANA<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La crisis haitiana<\/strong> ser\u00e1 el tema principal de la agenda entre <strong>Rubio y Abinader,<\/strong> tal como lo adelant\u00f3 el mandatario dominicano.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta es la primera visita internacional de Rubio desde que asumi\u00f3 el cargo en enero pasado, y se espera que refuerce las relaciones comerciales, diplom\u00e1ticas y de cooperaci\u00f3n entre ambos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">ENCUENTROS HIST\u00d3RICOS ENTRE RD Y EE. UU.<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A lo largo de la historia, varios presidentes dominicanos han tenido encuentros trascendentales con funcionarios de alto nivel de EE. UU. En 1866, el presidente Buenaventura B\u00e1ez se reuni\u00f3 con el secretario de Estado William H. Seward. M\u00e1s tarde, Eladio Victoria se reuni\u00f3 con Philander C. Knox en 1912, y Joaqu\u00edn Balaguer recibi\u00f3 a Henry Kissinger en 1976.
